Talk Like a Pirate Day Walks
Our pirate walks began in 2016 when we discovered the Annual International Talk Like A Pirate Day. We decided to create a volkswalk around that theme complete with costumes.
We liked it so much that in 2018, when we heard about Washougal's Annual Pirates in the Plaza event we asked to be included in their festivities. The event was put together to benefit the West Columbia Gorge Human Society. Which gave us an added reason to participate. The Columbian newspaper heard about the event and our walk and decided to write an article for their Weekend section.
In 2019 we decided to go back to our original location for the walk which was on the Salmon Creek trail.
In 2026, we plan to put the same walk on at the Salmon Creek Trail since Talk like a pirate Day will be on a Saturday.
